I am Mohammed Nusrat, a dedicated Registered Therapeutic Counsellor based in scenic British Columbia, Canada. In my practice, I employ diverse modalities such as Gestalt therapy, somatic therapy, one-on-one counselling, group therapy, and Family Systems Theory. My focus is on addiction and trauma recovery, where I offer empathetic support and guidance to those seeking healing and transformation. Recovery isn’t just possible it happens daily. Together, we embark on a journey of self-discovery, fostering empowerment and reclaiming agency over your life.
I also specialize in children and family therapy, providing a safe and empowering space for them to heal and thrive. In child and family therapy, I work closely with both children and their families to address a wide range of challenges. This may include behavioral issues, communication problems, adjustment difficulties, and conflicts within the family dynamic. I utilize evidence-based approaches tailored to the unique needs of each family, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone feels heard and supported.
My goal in child and family therapy is to strengthen family bonds, improve communication skills, and empower each member to navigate challenges effectively. I believe that by addressing issues within the family unit, we can create lasting positive change and support the well-being of every individual involved.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I find joy and rejuvenation in my family life. I have been married since 2019 and cherish precious moments with my wife and our two lovely daughters. Embracing the beauty of nature, I indulge in hobbies like hiking, basking in the outdoors, staying active through workouts, and enjoying various sports. My holistic approach to life and counselling embodies a commitment to both personal well-being and helping others thrive.
